Cancellation of SSC CGL 2025 Due to Administrative and Technical Reasons
On Friday, the first day of the Staff Selection Commission SSC CGL Examination 2025 Tier-I was interrupted because it was canceled at several centers, including Delhi’s Bharti Vidya Niketan Public School and Gurgaon M M Public School. This was due to technical and administrative issues.
A note on the wall of one of the Delhi centers announced that the Delhi and Gurgaon tests were canceled for administrative reasons. People who were given these centers have been told to show up on September 24, 25, and 26. An official notice said that the Jammu center at Digital Computer Education had technical problems during the first shift. The impacted candidates have been told to show up on September 26.
An candidate who was given a center in Vikaspuri informed “The exam was supposed to be held in two shifts.” We found out in the morning that it was canceled for administrative reasons. A lot of students had traveled a long way, and the sudden cancellation has made a lot of them nervous…
On Friday night, an applicant from Delhi whose center was in Gurgaon got an email saying the date had changed. The letter said, “Dear Candidate, it is hereby informed that the SSC CGL examination scheduled in MM Public School, Gurugram, on 13.09.2025 and 14.09.2025 is cancelled due to administrative reasons and all the candidates will be rescheduled in Delhi/NCR in subsequent dates (sic).”
We are still waiting for an official response from the SSC regarding the SSC CGL exam.
This disturbance comes after a lot of people protested in Delhi earlier this year against how the SSC exams were being run. During the Selection Post Phase 13 exam, which took place from July 24 to August 1, candidates had to deal with sudden cancellations, software problems, biometric verification issues, and wrong exam center assignments. A lot of people who had traveled a long way had to go home without taking the test.
Thousands of students and teachers went to Jantar Mantar and the CGO Complex to protest, asking the SSC to be held accountable, to examine its vendor contracts, and to have an independent probe into the shortcomings.
