The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday officially announced the NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Date, bringing relief to over 22 lakh medical aspirants across the country. According to the agency, the re-examination for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2026 will now be conducted on Sunday, June 21.
The announcement regarding the NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Date was made through the official X handle of the National Testing Agency. NTA stated that the decision has been taken with the approval of the Government of India following the cancellation of the earlier examination amid paper leak allegations.
“National Testing Agency has decided to conduct the re-examination of NEET (UG) 2026 on Sunday, 21 June 2026,” the agency said in its official statement.
NEET-UG 2026 Cancelled After Paper Leak Allegations
The original NEET-UG 2026 examination was conducted on May 3. However, the exam was cancelled on May 12 after allegations of a paper leak surfaced, triggering uncertainty among lakhs of students and parents regarding the future admission process.
