As protests in Iran continue, the Indian embassy in Tehran released a new advisory for Indian citizens.

The embassy advised Indian people who are currently in Iran—students, pilgrims, business travelers, and tourists—to depart by any available means of transportation, including commercial planes, in keeping with its earlier advisory of January 5, 2025. According to the embassy, this was done in light of the nation’s changing circumstances.

The embassy reminded all Indian nationals and PIOs in Iran to be cautious and to avoid places where rallies or demonstrations are taking place. The public has been asked to stay in touch with the Indian Embassy in Iran and keep an eye on local media outlets for any updates.

Indian nationals were advised by the embassy to keep their immigration documents on hand. It is also requested that all Indian nationals in Iran keep their passports and identification documents on hand for travel and immigration purposes. For any help in this respect, they are asked to get in touch with the Indian Embassy, the advice stated.
