The latest Delhi Weather Update brings relief for residents as parts of the national capital received rainfall on Wednesday morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert, warning of more showers, thunderstorms and lightning activity during the day.
According to the weather department, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph is likely at several places across Delhi in the coming hours.
IMD Predicts More Rain in Delhi
As per the Delhi Weather Update, Safdarjung, which serves as the city’s base weather station, recorded a minimum temperature of 25.4 degrees Celsius.
The station received 14.2 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 am on Wednesday. The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 32 degrees Celsius, providing relief from the recent humidity and heat.
The IMD has advised residents to remain cautious as thunderstorms and lightning activity may continue in some parts of the city.
Rainfall Intensity Likely to Reduce
Weather experts said that after the heavy showers, rainfall intensity is expected to decrease on Wednesday and Thursday as the current weather system begins to weaken.
The Delhi Weather Update indicates that while the rain has improved weather conditions and lowered temperatures, authorities continue to monitor possible waterlogging and traffic-related issues in some areas.
The showers have brought a much-needed break from high temperatures, improving overall weather conditions across the capital.
Delhi Weather Update: Delhi Residents Get Relief From Heat
The recent rainfall has resulted in cooler weather across Delhi, with temperatures remaining lower than typical summer levels.
The IMD is continuing to track the changing weather pattern and has advised people to stay updated about further alerts.
With more rain expected in parts of the city, the latest Delhi Weather Update suggests that residents should remain prepared for possible thunderstorms and changing weather conditions over the next few hours.
