Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles shares debut at Rs 335 on NSE, up 28%, following company demerger. Domestic sales up 7%, exports jump 56% in Oct 2025.
New Delhi: On Wednesday, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles’ shares had a successful market debut by listing on the NSE at a premium of more than 28%.
Following the completion of the Tata Motors demerger and the division of the firm into two separate listed entities, the Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles business was listed.
The commercial vehicles division of Tata Motors’ stock opened at Rs 335, up 28.48% from its NSE discovery price.
It listed at Rs 330.25 on the BSE, up 26.09%.
On the NSE, the business was valued at Rs 1,22,345.46 crore.
The demerger of Tata Motors went into effect on October 1.
Tata Motors declared in 2024 that it was demerging its companies into two distinct companies.
The passenger vehicles (PV) business, which included electric vehicles, Jaguar Land Rover, PV, and related investments, constituted the other entity as part of the demerger, while the commercial vehicles business and associated assets were transferred into one firm.

An important turning point in the group’s restructuring process was reached on October 14, when Tata Motors’ passenger vehicle division started trading independently. After the split, the business was called Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd.
To ascertain the stock price following the demerger, a special trading session was conducted on October 14 prior to the debut.
In terms of operations, Tata Motors announced that total sales of commercial vehicles increased by 10% to 37,530 units in October 2025 from 34,259 units the previous year.
According to the corporation, its overseas business jumped 56% to 2,422 units, while its domestic sales increased 7% to 35,108 units.
