NEW DELHI — Police officers intercepted the prime suspect late Wednesday night in West Delhi. The Gym trainer accused in Delhi model’s murder shot in legs during encounter took place after a massive multi-state search. Authorities shifted the suspect to a nearby hospital under heavy police custody.
The violent incident caused severe public outrage across the capital. Investigators traced the accused to a trap zone located between Tilak Nagar and Tagore Garden. The suspect allegedly opened fire when officers attempted to surround him. Consequently, police fired back in retaliation and hit him in both legs.
Tragic Attack Inside Rented Home Shocks West Delhi Residence
The victim, identified as 21-year-old Muskan, worked as a part-time model while completing her college studies. She was staying alone inside her rented home in New Mahavir Nagar when the assault happened.
Investigators revealed that the suspect entered the residence around 5:40 PM. He entered easily because the victim already knew him well. Furthermore, a heated argument started inside the room shortly after his arrival.
The suspect allegedly attacked Muskan with a sharp knife and inflicted three deep abdominal wounds. He also strangled her before fleeing the scene around 6:05 PM. The domestic help later found Muskan lying in a pool of blood. She was rushed to a local hospital where doctors declared her dead.

Detailed Investigation Points to Pre-Planned Assault and Stalking
Police sources confirmed that the crime was thoroughly pre-planned. The suspect brought a weapon with him when visiting the apartment. Moreover, CCTV cameras captured him moving hurriedly away from the crime scene.
The suspect also took the victim’s mobile phone to prevent immediate emergency calls. However, police teams quickly recovered the device from a nearby roadside during search operations.
Muskan’s brother, Aakash, explicitly named the suspect in initial statements to the authorities. The victim’s family had previously reported him for stalking and harassing her near her house. Additionally, police revealed that both individuals had known each other for about eighteen months. The suspect worked at the same fitness center where Muskan previously exercised.
