AAP Delhi leader Ankush Narang has criticised the BJP government and the BJP-ruled Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) over severe Delhi Rain Waterlogging following heavy rainfall in the national capital.
Narang alleged that despite the Chief Minister’s claims that drains managed by the Public Works Department (PWD) and the MCD had been cleaned before the monsoon, several roads across Delhi were submerged after the rain. He said the situation caused major inconvenience to commuters, with long traffic jams and disruptions to daily life.
Roads Submerged After Heavy Rain
Referring to the Delhi Rain Waterlogging situation, Ankush Narang said people remained stranded in traffic for hours as water accumulated on major roads. He also claimed that schoolchildren faced difficulties reaching their schools due to waterlogged streets.
According to Narang, every spell of rain increases the risk of road accidents because of poor drainage and inadequate civic infrastructure.

AAP Blames BJP Government for Lack of Monsoon Preparedness
Commenting on the Delhi Rain Waterlogging issue, Narang alleged that AAP had repeatedly warned the authorities and demanded adequate preparations before the monsoon season. However, he cl aimed that the BJP government failed to take concrete steps to prevent waterlogging.

He held the BJP government and the BJP-ruled MCD responsible for the condition of Delhi’s drainage system and the recurring flooding on city roads.
Political Debate Over Civic Infrastructure
The Delhi Rain Waterlogging issue has once again sparked a political debate over civic infrastructure and monsoon preparedness in the capital. Narang said the recurring waterlogging reflects shortcomings in drainage management and called for greater accountability from the authorities.
The AAP leader maintained that improving drainage infrastructure and ensuring timely maintenance are essential to reducing the impact of heavy rainfall on residents.
