AAP MLA Gopal Italia Alleges Misuse of System After Court Order on Chaitar Vasava

AAP alleges government machinery misuse in case involving Chaitar Vasava

by Tamanna

Aam Aadmi Party leader and Gujarat MLA Aam Aadmi Party leader Gopal Italia has strongly reacted after a court verdict in the case involving AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava, calling it a “politically motivated action” and part of a larger conspiracy against tribal leadership in Gujarat.

Allegations of Political Targeting

Speaking at a press conference, Italia claimed that AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava has been deliberately targeted for consistently raising tribal issues, including land rights, education, and corruption in tribal regions. He said the verdict reflects an attempt to suppress a strong tribal voice.

Claims of Institutional Misuse

Italia alleged that government machinery, including police, prosecution, and witnesses, was misused in the case. He described the judgment against AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava as a coordinated effort to weaken his political influence.

Issues Raised by AAP MLA Gopal Italia

According to Italia, AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava has been vocal on multiple issues such as tribal scholarships, forest rights, mining activities, land acquisition, and administrative irregularities affecting tribal communities in Gujarat.

Legal Action and Higher Court Appeal

Reaffirming the party’s stance, Italia said AAP will challenge the verdict in higher courts. He added that legal teams are already preparing appeals in the High Court and, if required, the Supreme Court on behalf of AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava.

Political Accusations Against Ruling Party

Italia also questioned why similar strict action has not been taken in other cases, alleging selective targeting. He claimed that AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava is being punished for speaking against the ruling establishment.

He concluded that both the Aam Aadmi Party and tribal communities stand firmly with AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava, and asserted that he will continue to fight for tribal rights and public issues despite the court ruling.
