Motorola has officially confirmed that the Moto Buds 2 will launch in India on May 19. The new wireless earbuds will debut alongside the Moto G37 and Moto G37 Power smartphones, marking an expansion of Motorola’s audio portfolio in the country. The Moto Buds 2 were first showcased globally at MWC 2026 in Barcelona and are now set to arrive in the Indian market after the launch of the Moto Buds 2 Plus earlier this year.
The upcoming Moto Buds 2 aim to strengthen Motorola’s position in the premium mid-range TWS segment with upgraded sound quality, smart features, and improved battery performance.
Moto Buds 2 to Feature Dual Drivers and Enhanced Sound Quality
Motorola has revealed that the Moto Buds 2 will come with a dual-driver setup featuring 11mm and 6mm drivers. This configuration is designed to deliver deeper bass while maintaining clear vocals and balanced high frequencies, enhancing the overall listening experience of the Moto Buds 2.
The earbuds are also expected to support LHDC audio codec and Spatial Audio, bringing a more immersive sound experience typically found in higher-end wireless earbuds.
Advanced ANC and Smart Audio Modes
One of the key highlights of the Moto Buds 2 is its powerful active noise cancellation capability, rated up to 55 dB. The earbuds can automatically adjust ANC levels based on surrounding noise conditions.

In addition, the Moto Buds 2 include a smart transparency mode that allows users to hear external sounds when needed, making them suitable for commuting or conversations without removing the earbuds.
Call Quality, Gaming Mode and Connectivity Features
For calls, Buds feature six microphones with environmental noise cancellation, ensuring clear voice output even in noisy environments. The earbuds also include a low-latency gaming mode, Bluetooth 6.0 support, and dual-device connectivity, allowing users to connect to two devices simultaneously.
Smart Features and Durability
The Buds also come with additional smart features such as wear detection, customizable touch controls, EQ settings with bass boost, voice assistant support, audio sharing, and Moto AI integration. The earbuds are rated IP54 for dust and splash resistance, adding durability for everyday use.
Battery Life and Fast Charging
Battery performance is another major highlight of the Moto Buds. Each earbud packs a 62mAh battery, while the charging case includes a 520mAh capacity. Motorola claims up to 11 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 48 hours with the charging case, making the Moto Buds 2 highly efficient for long usage.
The earbuds also support fast charging, where a 10-minute charge can provide up to three hours of playback, adding convenience for users on the go.
Price Expectations in India
While the official India price is yet to be announced, the Moto Buds 2 are expected to be positioned in the mid-premium segment. Globally, they were priced at around GBP 70 (approximately ₹8,500), while the Moto Buds 2 Plus launched in India at ₹5,999.
The Moto Buds 2 are expected to offer a strong balance of premium features, long battery life, and advanced audio technology when they launch in India.
