Gujarat: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Gujarat leader Praveen Ram has strongly criticized the Gujarat government, alleging that farmers are being burdened with a sudden ₹700 increase in the price of DAP fertilizer after the completion of local body elections.
In a video statement shared by AAP Gujarat, Praveen Ram claimed that the timing of the price hike reflects a deliberate policy shift after elections, raising concerns over the impact on the farming community across the state.
Allegations of DAP Fertilizer Price Hike
According to Praveen Ram, the cost of DAP fertilizer has increased from around ₹1400 per bag to approximately ₹2100, marking a steep rise of ₹700. He described this as a major setback for farmers and alleged that the decision has been imposed immediately after the Gujarat DAP fertilizer price hike, following the conclusion of local self-government elections.
He further stated that the Gujarat DAP fertilizer price hike is unfair and disproportionately affects farmers who are already struggling with rising input costs.
