Chandigarh: The Punjab government has continued its aggressive law enforcement drive against organised crime and drug trafficking as part of its ongoing state-level security campaign and anti-drug initiative.
According to updates shared on the official Aam Aadmi Party Punjab social media handle, the latest phase of the Punjab crackdown on gangsters marked the 112th day of the state-level campaign, with large-scale operations conducted across multiple districts.
Large-Scale Raids Across Punjab
As part of the ongoing Punjab crackdown on gangsters, police carried out raids at 516 locations across the state, leading to the arrest of 213 individuals suspected of involvement in criminal activities. Authorities also recovered two illegal weapons during the operations.
Officials stated that the cumulative impact of the Punjab crackdown on gangsters has been significant, with a total of 28,551 arrests made since the beginning of the campaign.
The coordinated action reflects the government’s continued focus on dismantling organised crime networks and improving law and order across the state.
Anti-Drug Campaign Enters 437th Day
In a parallel drive against narcotics, the state’s ongoing war against drugs reached its 437th day, with police arresting 105 drug peddlers in recent operations.

With these latest arrests, the total number of drug traffickers apprehended under the anti-drug campaign has risen to 63,707, marking one of the largest sustained enforcement drives in the state’s recent history.
Government’s Zero-Tolerance Approach
Officials reiterated that both the Punjab crackdown on gangsters and the anti-drug campaign are part of a broader zero-tolerance policy aimed at eliminating organised crime, drug smuggling networks, and illegal arms trafficking from the state.
