Bhiwadi, Rajasthan: A massive fire broke out on Monday morning at a chemical factory in the Khushkheda Karauli industrial area of Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, claiming the lives of eight labourers and injuring several others. At the time of the accident, approximately 20–25 workers were present inside the facility. While some managed to escape unharmed, others were trapped as the fire rapidly engulfed the factory.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma Expresses Condolences
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed deep grief over the incident and contacted officials for detailed updates. He instructed district authorities to ensure immediate assistance to the victims and called for proper medical treatment for those injured. The Chief Minister also conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for the well-being of the survivors.

Ashok Gehlot Mourns Loss of Lives
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot expressed sorrow over the tragedy, describing the incident as “very painful and tragic.” Posting on X, he wrote that he prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace and wished speedy recovery for the injured.

Opposition Criticism
Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra criticized the state government over repeated safety lapses, stating that multiple industrial accidents have occurred under the current administration without adequate preventive measures. He urged the government to take prompt action to prevent such incidents in the future.
The fire incident has sparked concerns over industrial safety standards in Bhiwadi, with investigations ongoing to determine the cause of the accident. Emergency services and local authorities continue to assist the injured and manage the aftermath of the tragedy.
