PM Modi celebrates National StartUp Day, marking 10 years of StartUp India, and applauds young innovators driving India’s economy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings on National StartUp Day, highlighting the significance of this year’s celebration as it marks ten years since the launch of the StartUp India initiative.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the day honors the courage, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of individuals—especially the youth—who have propelled India’s rise in the global start-up ecosystem.

“Startups are change agents shaping the future of our economy and society. They are creating opportunities while addressing critical challenges facing our world. I am proud of everyone who dared to dream big, defied expectations, and made a significant impact through their StartUps,” Modi said.

He noted the government’s efforts to strengthen the StartUp ecosystem by collaborating with all stakeholders, enabling ventures to enter previously unexplored sectors such as space and defense. Modi reiterated the administration’s commitment to supporting young entrepreneurs and fostering problem-solving skills, highlighting their role in building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

The Prime Minister also recognized the broader support network—investors, mentors, incubators, and academic institutions—that guides and inspires young innovators. He underlined that their contributions are vital in nurturing India’s success story.

Using a Sanskrit reference, Modi praised the dedication and determination of India’s youth, stating that their energy and enthusiasm will be key drivers in achieving a Viksit Bharat.

In a social media post on X, he wrote:
