BJP announces national president election; nominations on Jan 19, results on Jan 20. Nitin Navin likely to assume role after polls.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the schedule for its National President election. Nominations will be accepted on January 19 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and the official results will be declared on January 20.

After this election process is over, Nitin Navin, who is now acting as president, is anticipated to take over the official position.

The Electoral College and the Election Process

Sangathan Parv 2024 is proceeding, according to the party, and the formal election process is currently in progress.

The Electoral College list, which lists the 5,708 voters from 30 states who will take part in choosing the party’s national president, was released at BJP headquarters concurrently with the announcement. Representatives from a range of party organizational levels are among these voters.

Selection and Examination

Candidates can submit their papers during the nomination window, which is scheduled to open on January 19 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

On the same day, the nominees will be scrutinized from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., candidates who desire to withdraw their candidacy may do so. The National Election Officer will then issue a statement verifying the voters and electoral roll at 6:30 PM. If a full-scale election is necessary, it will take place on January 20.

Future Difficulties for the New President

As the party gets ready for impending state and union territory elections, the newly elected president and their team will take over a pivotal period. With the BJP currently ruling just Assam, the imminent election difficulties are West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam, and Puducherry.

Elections are scheduled for Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Punjab, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Gujarat in the future.

Of these, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) governs Punjab, the Congress leads Himachal Pradesh, the BJP controls four states, and Manipur is administered by the President. In the upcoming months, the party leadership will have to strategically traverse these various political environments.
