by Desk

CM Bhagwant Mann’s Japan visit brings Rs 400 crore investment from Toppan Speciality Films, boosting Punjab’s economic growth and global presence.

According to Harjot Singh Bains, Punjab’s Minister of Education and Information & Public Relations, the state is well-positioned to receive large investments and establish strategic collaborations as a result of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s ongoing tour to Japan.

He claimed that the visionary diplomacy of the delegation led by Chief Minister Mann will combine Punjab’s human capital with new prospects, promoting the state’s growth and prosperity.

According to Bains, CM Mann’s combined efforts have resulted in a historic investment agreement with Toppan Speciality Films Private Limited (TSF), a leading company in the Japanese film business, which will spend Rs 400 crore in Punjab. Ahead of the 6th Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit in 2026, this Memorandum of Understanding represents a critical turning point in Punjab’s development as a top international investment destination.

He claimed that CM Mann’s goal of balancing economic progress with educational empowerment is reflected in the Toppan accord. By improving industry-aligned skills, the Skilling Excellence Centre will increase youth employability, propel Punjab’s economic growth, and establish the state as North India’s skill capital. By sharing our innovative plan and governance triumphs, this strategic outreach gives Punjab unmatched international prominence. It would send a message to the rest of the globe that Punjab is not only open to commerce but is also forming future-ready alliances that invest in its people and state-of-the-art infrastructure.

Bains added that the team from Punjab effectively demonstrated the state’s historic governance innovations, such as the progressive Punjab Right to Business Act, auto-deemed approvals, and the FastTrack Punjab single-window system. Over 1.4 lakh crore in on-ground investments have already been made possible by these measures, which are supported by the New Industrial Policy 2022 and directed by 24 sector-specific committees led by industry captains through Invest Punjab.

At the forthcoming Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit, the state government extends an invitation to partners and investors from around the world to join Punjab’s unstoppable economic story. S. Bains was added.
