UP govt recommends five industrial projects worth ₹590.30 cr for Letters of Comfort, boosting investment, manufacturing growth and job creation across key districts.
Lucknow: Following a crucial committee meeting , the UP govt recommended five significant investment projects for the issue of Letters of Comfort, paving the way for quicker industrial expansion.
Under the UP Industrial Investment and Employment Promotion Policy 2022, proposals filed via the Online Incentive Management System were examined by the Empowered Committee, which was presided over by Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner Deepak Kumar. After being reviewed by the Evaluation Committee, each of the five applications was sent for final review.
Large-scale industrial developments at Kanpur Nagar, Hathras, Amethi, Bahraich, and Prayagraj are the subject of the plans. Together, they cover ₹590.30 crore in proposed investments in industries like ethanol manufacturing, detergents, TMT bars, and poultry feed.

The state government’s sovereign pledge to provide rewards to investors who fulfill the scheme’s eligibility and compliance conditions is known as a Letter of Comfort. The industries that have applied for incentives include net SGST refund, capital subsidies, and SGST subsidies.
Each proposal was reviewed by officials to make sure it fulfilled the state’s goals of increasing manufacturing and creating jobs. All five applications have been recommended for approval of Letters of Comfort by the committee.
The government’s drive for an open, business-friendly ecosystem supported by digital systems and organized policy assistance was emphasized throughout the conference. According to Invest UP, the organization is still committed to processing applications on time in order to promote investment, job development, and industrial expansion throughout the state.
