AAP alleges BJP delayed reporting dengue, malaria, and chikungunya cases in Delhi. Hundreds of new infections reported after MTS strike.

New Delhi : The Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP ) says that the BJP’s four-engine Delhi administration is now withholding information about dengue, malaria, and chikungunya after pollution. Ankush Narang, a senior party leader and the Leader of the Opposition in the MCD, said that the report was not made public until three weeks after October 6. The report that came out on November 3 showed 300 new instances of dengue, 200 new cases of malaria, and 60 new cases of chikungunya.

Narang added that the BJP government not only provided the sickness statistics late, but they also didn’t include information on deaths caused by seasonal infections. He said that if the MTS workers’ strike had been stopped in time, the illness wouldn’t have spread as much. From September 29 to November 1, they went on strike.
