Yogi Adityanath urges renaming Mohiuddinnagar to Mohan Nagar during Bihar election rally. Voting in first phase on Nov 6; results on Nov 14.

If the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) stays in power in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that Mohiuddinnagar will be renamed Mohan Nagar.

At a rally at Mohiuddinnagar, Yogi Adityanath, one of the BJP’s most popular campaigners in Bihar, said this.

“Brothers and sisters, I ask you to move forward with the plan to change the name of Mohiuddinnagar to Mohan Nagar.” It is possible. Stop doing anything that looks like slavery. Adityanath added, “We did the same thing in Uttar Pradesh, where we changed the names of Faizabad to Ayodhya and Allahabad to Prayagraj.”

“When strong leaders take over, they do what they believe is right, whether it’s creating jobs for young people or protecting cultural heritage,” said Yogi, who is also the chief priest of the Gorakshdham shrine in Gorakhpur.

Rajesh Kumar Singh from the BJP is running against Ejya Yadav from the RJD in the Mohiuddinnagar election.

The BJP has awarded Rajesh Kumar Singh, a current MLA, a ticket in Mohiuddinnagar. His main opponent is Ejya Yadav of the RJD, who won the seat in 2015 but lost it five years later.

For a while now, BJP officials in Bihar have been pushing for the names of sites that have origins in both Hindu and Muslim cultures to be changed.

Yogi Adityanath performed a roadshow in the north Bihar town of Darbhanga, hours before campaigning ended for the first phase of assembly votes. This was part of another poll appeal.

The BJP leader stood on top of an open vehicle and wore the “Mithila paag,” which is the traditional hat of the area. He waved a cardboard cutout of the lotus, which is the party’s emblem in the elections, to people on both sides of the roadway who wanted to see it.

Sanjay Saraogi, the local MLA and Bihar minister, was with Yogi. He wants to keep the Darbhanga seat for a sixth term in a row.

Voting in Bihar will take place in two phases: the first on November 6 and the second on November 11. The results will be announced on November 14.

Bihar has 243 Assembly constituencies in all. During the first phase, voting will take place in 121 constituencies. The other 122 will vote in the second round.
