CM Nayab Singh Saini opens Haryana’s 27th State Sports Festival “Mitti se Medal Tak,” promoting talent development and world-class sports infrastructure.

The 27th state sports festival, with the theme “Mitti se medal tak,” was officially opened by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday. Saini described the event as a dedication to identifying talent in every hamlet and city, developing it, and bringing it to the international arena. Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Gurugram is hosting the festival under the auspices of the Haryana Olympic Association.

Saini, who was the principal guest, told the audience that Haryana’s youthful vitality, robust sports infrastructure, and player-friendly facilities are all working together to write a new chapter in the state’s history.

As the guest of honor, Indian Olympic Association President PT Usha was joined by Haryana Olympic Association President Capt. Jasvinder Meenu Beniwal and a number of Haryana athletes who had won the Padma Shri, Arjuna Award, and Bhim Award.

According to the chief minister, 37,225 athletes are being trained at 1,489 sports nurseries across Haryana. According to him, athletes who are enrolled in these nurseries between the ages of 8 and 14 get ₹1,500 per month, while those who are between the ages of 15 and 19 get ₹2,000. According to him, nursery coaches might receive an honorarium of up to ₹25,000.

According to the chief minister, the Haryana government has given players ₹641 crore in cash rewards over the previous 11 years in recognition of their athletic ability. Sports equipment has been given to 15,634 athletes under the Haryana Sports Equipment Provision Scheme.

“The soil of Haryana is charged with courage, strength, and determination, the qualities that have consistently produced world-class athletes for India,” said PT Usha, the Indian Olympic Association’s president and honored guest. She said that a sports revolution had occurred in the state as a result of the collaboration between the Haryana Olympic Association and the state government.

According to her, the effects of Haryana’s sports infrastructure and regulations are evident everywhere, from athletic tracks and shooting ranges to sports grounds.

Kurukshetra will host the event’s concluding ceremony on November 8. during 6,000 athletes will compete in 24 different sporting activities during the course of the seven-day festival across nine districts of Haryana, Chandigarh, and New Delhi.
