Haryana government grants Municipal Council status to Barwala in Hisar district under Section 2A(2) of the Municipal Act, fulfilling a long-standing public demand.

Barwala now has Municipal Council status, according to a statement from the Haryana government. The Haryana Municipal Act of 1973, Section 2A(2), has been used to issue this notification. Barwala in the Hisar district has been formally designated as a Municipal Council, according to the announcement.

Sh. Ranbir Gangwa, Minister of Public Works and Public Health Engineering, said that this decision was the realization of a long-standing desire of the Barwala community. “I have been working tirelessly to get this status for the town,” he stated. Considering the area’s developmental needs, he had also written to the Urban Local Bodies Department to firmly support the demand. Those efforts are now paying off.

According to the Minister, Barwala’s development will pick up speed once the Municipal Council is established. Now, it will be easier and faster to expand and improve the management of infrastructure like roads, sewers, drinking water supplies, street lighting, and sanitation.

Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini and Urban Local Bodies Minister Sh. Vipul Goel were thanked by Sh. Gangwa, who stated the move demonstrated the Chief Minister’s strong commitment to development and his awareness of popular opinion. The entire region should be proud of this accomplishment, he remarked, congratulating the people of Barwala. Giving Barwala Municipal Council status will be the cornerstone of the town’s future all-encompassing growth.
