MP Sports Festival in Vidisha showcases youth talent, promotes sports development, and honors PM Modi’s vision for fitness and national athletic excellence.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is a visionary leader whose capable leadership is enabling the nation to make significant progress in the realm of sports, according to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The way the MP Sports Festival is organized throughout the country is a reflection of his visionary ideas. In his parliamentary constituency, Union Minister for Agriculture, Farmers Welfare, and Rural Development Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan is putting on this outstanding celebration. During the opening of the MP Sports Festival in Vidisha, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav made this statement. In addition to declaring the festival’s official start, the chief minister claimed that Vidisha city would outperform other metropolises like Delhi and Mumbai in terms of athlete development and sports promotion. According to him, Prime Minister Shri Modi never stops motivating people in all walks of life, including athletes.
“Vishisha is a historic city with its heritage linkage to Emperor Ashoka and ancient Ujjain,” Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated. He emphasized how places like Vidisha continue to be essential to democratic traditions and how Emperor Vikramaditya propagated democratic ideals. While Madhya Pradesh’s renowned Mitawali 64 Yogini Temple served as the blueprint for the old Parliament building, the new one was based on the design of Vidisha’s Vijay Mandir. As a result, Madhya Pradesh has a unique position within the nation’s democracy.
The development of the four-lane road between Vidisha and Bhopal would soon be sanctioned, according to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. It will travel through Sanchi and Salamatpur. Likewise, the state government would also approve other plans, such the road project between Vidisha and Ahmednagar and other development projects. He promised that every effort will be made to support athletes and young people. CM Dr. Yadav also expressed gratitude for the festival’s inclusion of games including mallakhamb, kabaddi, and cricket. He added that in order to include neighboring villages under the purview of the Vidisha Municipal Corporation, a study and survey will be carried out.

According to him, the zeal of players from little villages is what really makes the country strong, not the large shopping centers and skyscrapers of metropolises. He stated that he would love to visit Vidisha again and expressed delight at being part of the event at the invitation of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Union Minister Shri Chouhan. He said that the honor and respect accorded to sports in India is truly inspiring and appreciated the dedication of Vidisha’s sportspersons, expressing confidence that they will represent the nation in the future.
