Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini directs immediate repair of Kaushalya Dam pipeline, enhances water supply and storage for Panchkula residents.

To guarantee a steady flow of drinking water from Kaushalya Dam to Panchkula city, Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini has instructed officials to start fixing the damaged water pipeline right now. According to him, this job has to be finished as soon as possible in order to replace the present reliance on tube wells and restore the dam’s water supply to different Panchkula neighborhoods.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister directed the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HSVP) officials to give the Public Health Engineering Department 10–12 acres of land so that a clean water storage facility could be built in the Pinjore–Kalka area. This will contribute to ensuring that residents of the Pinjore-Kalka areas have access to clean drinking water from Kaushalya Dam.

Here, Sh Nayab Singh Saini presided over a seminar for complete dam safety.

According to the chief minister, all State Government ministries involved should concentrate on using surface water rather than groundwater for drinking and take proactive measures to use and conserve rainfall in a way that is supported by science.

At Kajauli Water Works, increase motor capacity

To guarantee a sufficient and reliable water supply from the facility, Sh Nayab Singh Saini also gave officials instructions to improve the Kajauli Water Works water delivery system by boosting the pumping motors’ capability.

Means to increase Kaushalya Dam’s storage capacity

In addition, the Chief Minister directed the Irrigation Department to draft a comprehensive action plan to expand Kaushalya Dam’s storage capacity. He noted that in order to guarantee that tainted water does not ever reach the dam, appropriate steps should be implemented in cooperation with other relevant departments.

The Chief Minister also went over the current state of the Hathnikund Barrage in Yamunanagar, the Ottu Head in Sirsa, and the Kaushalya Dam in Panchkula during the meeting. He gave the order for these structures to be promptly evaluated by an impartial group of professionals in order to guarantee their safety, stability, and strength.
