Are Banks Closed on October 22, 2025?
Cities such as Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gangtok, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Nagpur will all have their banks closed on October 22. In addition to other regional holidays like Vikram Samvat New Year Day, Balipadyami, and Laxmi Puja, the holiday falls on the same day as Diwali.
October 2025’s Upcoming Bank Holidays
Banks in Ahmedabad, Gangtok, Imphal, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Shimla were closed on October 23 for Bhai Bij (Bhai Dooj), Chitragupt Jayanti, Laxmi Puja, Bhratridwitiya, and Ningol Chakkouba.
October 27: In honor of Chhath Puja, banks were closed in Ranchi, Patna, and Kolkata.
October 28: In honor of Chhath Puja, banks in Patna and Ranchi were closed.
On October 31, banks in Ahmedabad were closed in honor of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birthday.
