Delhi CM Rekha Gupta reviewed Chhath travel prep at New Delhi Railway Station, directing officials to ensure smooth crowd control and safe, hassle-free journeys.

With millions of people likely to travel from Delhi to their hometowns for the approaching Chhath holiday, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta instructed officials to prepare thoroughly for crowd control, particularly at train stations.

Gupta asked railway authorities about anticipated foot traffic and passenger management while reviewing the setup at New Delhi Railway Station, according to an official release.

Along with interacting with passengers and giving instructions to officials, she also examined the station’s safety features and amenities on each platform.

According to the statement, the chief minister emphasized concerted efforts to guarantee travelers a hassle-free trip.

The Passenger Facilitation Center, which is specifically designed for travelers’ convenience, was also examined by Gupta. During the tour, she was accompanied by Manoj Tiwari and other members of Parliament.

According to her, the Delhi administration is collaborating with the federal government to guarantee that travelers encounter no difficulties while traveling.

During the festival season, millions of people are expected to travel from Delhi to their hometowns, therefore the chief minister gave officials instructions to prepare carefully for crowd control.

“This is a government that is available to the public around-the-clock,” she continued.

According to Gupta, the Passenger Facilitation Centre (PFC) is evidence of the government’s dedication to public safety, convenience, and culture.

With features including ticketing, rest areas, hygienic restrooms, seating, safe drinking water, and special accommodations for women, senior citizens, and passengers with disabilities, the PFC, which was constructed in just three months, accommodates thousands of passengers every day under one roof. This eliminates the need to wait in long lines.

To properly control passenger flow and maintain traffic separation given the anticipated throng, a new foot overbridge has also been built.
