In Nangloi, Prem Nagar’s Ronak (7) and Sahista (8) were critically injured and hospitalized, though initially reported as deceased.

The city of New Delhi :  At Delhi’s Nangloi Railway Station on Friday, two young girls were struck by a train and murdered. PTI said, quoting an official, that hundreds of people gathered at the scene of the tragedy and blocked the railway line in protest.

The police officer said that two youngsters were struck by train number 12485 at approximately 1 pm on the Bahadurgarh side, close to Sukhi Nahar.

Pripatari Enclave in Prem Nagar’s Ronak Khatoon (7) and Vats Sharda Enclave in Prem Nagar’s Sahista (8) were identified as the deceased. Despite being listed as dead, they were both taken to the hospital in critical condition.

After the disaster, around 700 locals gathered at the area and barricaded the railroad track, disrupting traffic.

“The mob originally refused to disperse because they were upset about the accident. As a result, train services were temporarily interrupted,” the officer stated.

Nangloi  : Area security has been increased.

In order to keep the peace and disperse the gathering, a large police presence was sent to the scene. Additionally, senior officers hurried to the scene to calm the irate throng and remove the evidence.

“We managed to bring the issue under control and resume train movement after some work.

The officer continued, “With the assistance of additional forces, law and order was maintained.”

In the meantime, the victims’ bodies have been submitted for autopsy.
Bereaved family members express sorrow

Anguish at the occurrence, Sahista’s aunt Nagina Khatoon said that the two were killed because of confusion because two trains were coming from different directions.

“As they did each day, they were making their way home on foot when two trains came in opposing directions on the tracks. “They lost their lives in the confusion,” she was cited by PTI as adding.

Sahista’s parents were devastated, according to Nagina, as their hopes were dashed.

“Her parents are inconsolable.” Their firstborn kid, Sahista, was the one they had hoped for.

They had a lot of hopes for her future and cherished her. “Now, those dreams have been abruptly dashed,” she continued.
