On October 30, 2025, the eagerly anticipated Noida International Airport (NIA) will finally open. “We can expect operations to begin within 45 days from that date,” said Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, who confirmed the launch date on Thursday. Since the Jewar airport will replace Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), travelers from the National Capital Region (NCR), which includes Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad, will greatly benefit once it is operational.

With direct flights, it will be simpler to travel from the NCR to places like Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Dehradun, and Hubli. According to reports, Noida Airport would initially host about 30 planes. Officials anticipate that the new airport will play a key role in changing the aviation landscape of India and greatly improve connectivity in Uttar Pradesh. IndiGo, the top airline in India, will start flying internationally from Jewar Airport.

IndiGo will run flights to Singapore and Dubai.

From Noida Airport, IndiGo Airlines will run international flights to Singapore, Dubai, and Zurich. Residents of the National Capital Region will no longer have to go to Delhi Airport in order to visit these nations. Additionally, this will ease the burden on Delhi Airport and give UP access to the world. The initial phase of Noida Airport’s construction is nearing completion. The opening of this airport is expected to improve people’s travel experiences and make flying more convenient.

Residents of Noida, Greater Noida, the surrounding districts, and even Delhi will be served by the airport. It is anticipated to increase trade, business, and tourism in the area. Travelers will be able to board international flights straight from Noida thanks to the Jewar airport, which will provide an alternative to Delhi’s IGI Airport.

The project, which is being built in Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar district, was announced in 2021. The airport’s initial phase will include a single runway and a single terminal that can accommodate 12 million passengers a year. The airport will be able to handle 70 million people annually after all four development phases are finished.
