Mumbai Faces Waterlogging and Traffic Chaos Amid IMD Orange Rain Alert

Mumbai :  A lot of rain fell  in Mumbai, Pune, and other Maharashtra cities, causing traffic jams and waterlogging. We documented rain-related incidents, such as a landslide, a house collapse, a short circuit, and a tree falling.

An orange advisory, issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), indicates that areas of Maharashtra may see extremely heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds. There is a good chance that lightning and thunder may occur throughout the aforementioned time, along with sporadic gusts of wind that can reach 40 to 50 kmph. The low-lying regions of King’s Circle, Lalbaug, Worli, Dadar, Parel, Kurla, and others were marooned on Monday. Traffic conditions on the roads were made worse by the potholes filled with water.
