Dehradun cloudburst: Rescue crews from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Corps raced to the scene and evacuated 200 students who had been stranded at the institute after learning of the situation.
Dehradun cloudburst : The Devbhoomi Institute campus in the Paunda neighborhood of Dehradun, Uttarakhand, became flooded after intense overnight rains or cloudburst , leaving more than 200 students stranded. Disaster Response teams rescued them on Tuesday.
200 pupils were left stranded at the school, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Corps rescue teams hurried to the scene and evacuated the 200 students who had been stranded at the institute after learning of their situation.
“The team arrived on the scene and carried out a prompt rescue. The team moved quickly and cautiously through the waterlogging to safely remove all 200 pupils and transport them to a secure location, according to the SDRF.

Dehradun cloudburst: Several locations have houses and roads damaged
There have been reports of damage to homes, roads, and other infrastructure throughout the state as a result of the rain. While this was going on, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inspected the affected areas, which included Sahastradhara, Raipur, and other Dehradun localities that were damaged by the intense rain.

CM Dhami also performed an inspection of Kesarwala, Maldevta, where torrential rains in the Sahastradhara area of Dehradun district caused a 100-meter road to wash away in Maldevta, Raipur.
“A lot of damage has been done to houses and government properties,” Dhami stated shortly after examining the areas. Income is impacted. To get things back on track, we are working. There have been multiple instances of connectivity issues. Water levels in waterways have risen. Every one of our departments is operating like a war machine. I spoke with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and PM Modi this morning, and they took all the information. They promised us that they would offer us every assistance they could. We’re trying to assist anyone impacted by this calamity.”
On social media, CM Dhami stated that he personally monitors the situation and keeps in close contact with the local government.
The Sahastradhara river overflowed as a result of the intense rains that have been battering Dehradun since Tuesday morning. Many businesses suffered serious damage as a result of the debris that the rushing waves brought into the main market area.
