At least nine pupils at CM Rise School in Gotegaon, Madhya Pradesh, were hurt when the classroom ceiling plaster collapsed.

In a terrible occurrence, at least nine kids from a government-run school in Madhya Pradesh were injured when the ceiling plaster in their classroom collapsed on Wednesday.

The incident occurred at the state-run CM Rise School in Gotegaon, Madhya Pradesh’s Narsinghpur district, while the pupils were studying in the classroom.

“We were studying in the classroom when a piece of ceiling plaster unexpectedly fell on us. “A total of nine students, including myself, were injured in the accident,” stated one of the injured girls, who is in Class 11.

A probe has been requested regarding the plaster collapse incident.
Meanwhile, District Education Officer (DEO) Anil Beohar spoke about the incident, stating that the block education officer was sent to the school once they learned about it.

“A probe has been ordered into Wednesday’s plaster collapse, and action will be taken after receiving the report,” according to the Department of Energy.

Further, in response to reports that a similar occurrence occurred a week ago but went unnoticed, the DEO stated that if such an incident occurred earlier at the school, it would be investigated.

He further stated that the pupils were originally treated at a community health clinic in Gotegaon, with those with critical injuries being sent to the district hospital.

About the CM Rise School.
Significantly, the MP government established CM Rise Schools in the academic year 2022-23 to give “quality” education to youngsters in the state.

According to officials, there is a proposal to open up to 9095 CM Rise Schools around the state in two phases. “In this phase, 360 schools will be opened at the district and block levels between 2021 and 2024. In the second phase, from 2024 to 2031, one CM Rise school will be established in every 10-to-15-kilometer radius, for a total of 8,735 schools.”
