Parliamentary Affairs Minister Inaugurates Entrance Gate and Water Kiosk at Basni Karwad School – State Government Committed to Educational and Infrastructure Development: Minister
Parliamentary Affairs, Law, and Legal Affairs Minister Mr. Jogaram Patel on Saturday formally inaugurated the newly constructed entrance gate and water kiosk at the Government Senior Secondary School, Basni Karwad, built with the support of philanthropists.
Mr. Patel stated that under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. Bhajan Lal Sharma, the state government is committed to upgrading education and developing school infrastructure. He noted that this year’s budget allocated ₹225 crore for basic infrastructure and ₹200 crore for constructing new buildings for 175 dilapidated or building-less schools in the state.
He added that to ensure a safe environment for students, ₹75 crore will be used to install CCTV cameras in 15,000 schools. Additionally, ₹175 crore has been allocated for repairing 2,000 school buildings. To promote entrepreneurship and innovation among students, Atal Tinkering Labs are being set up in 1,500 schools.
New Building for Keru College to be Constructed Soon
The Minister announced that the functioning of the new college in Keru block has already started as per the budget announcement, and construction of its building will commence shortly. He also mentioned ongoing road projects worth over ₹1 billion in the Keru region, including the road from Hanumanji ka Badiya to Keru.
Trauma Centre and Model CHC in Keru
He said that to provide better healthcare facilities, a trauma centre and the upgradation of Keru CHC to a model CHC are underway as per the budget.
New Tehsil Office in Keru
To ensure that residents and farmers don’t have to travel for administrative and revenue-related tasks, a new tehsil office has been announced for Keru and will be inaugurated soon.
Schools Are Centers of Nation Building
Mr. Patel emphasized that schools are the foundation of the nation’s future and that teachers play a crucial role in nation-building. He announced ₹10 lakh for constructing new classrooms in the school.
Philanthropists and Meritorious Students Honoured
The Minister felicitated philanthropists Mr. Bachanaram, Mr. Baburam Suthar, Mr. Gepraram Bhat, Mr. Chutra Ram, and Mr. Bhomaram with mementoes. Outstanding students of the school were also honored. The Principal, Mr. Kailash Nayak, was appreciated for effectively implementing government schemes and encouraging donors.
The event was attended by Deputy Sarpanch of Keru Mr. Jaysingh, local public representatives, teachers, and villagers.
