Tata Punch Facelift Launched at Rs 5.59 Lakh: Price, Specs, Features and Variants Explained
Tata Motors has officially launched the Tata Punch facelift in India at an introductory price of Rs 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings have opened nationwide from today. With this update, the micro-SUV aims to strengthen its position in a highly competitive segment.
Moreover, the refreshed Punch now targets rivals such as the Hyundai Exter, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and the Mahindra XUV 3XO. Tata Motors has introduced updates across design, features and powertrains.
Exterior Styling Gets Sharper and More Modern
The Tata Punch facelift retains its boxy and upright stance. However, the design now looks sharper and more contemporary. Tata previously teased the facelift, revealing several visual upgrades.
The styling now draws inspiration from the Tata Punch EV. It gets redesigned LED headlamps, sleeker LED DRLs and LED fog lamps with cornering function. However, a full-width LED light bar remains absent.
Additionally, Tata has reworked the grille and bumpers for a sportier look. The facelift also introduces fresh alloy wheel designs and a revised LED tail-lamp cluster. Practical features now include automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and a rear washer-wiper.
Buyers also get four new colour options. These include Cyantafic, Caramel, Bengal Rouge and Coorg Clouds.
Interior Upgrades and Segment-Leading Features
Inside, the Tata Punch facelift receives a noticeable upgrade. The cabin now follows Tata’s latest design language. It features a new dual-tone interior layout with improved materials.
The highlight is a 26.03 cm touchscreen infotainment system paired with a 17.8 cm digital instrument cluster. Moreover, the facelift offers a 360-degree surround view camera, automatic climate control and an auto-dimming IRVM.
Other comfort additions include a CentraLuxe control panel with armrest, redesigned controls and improved ergonomics. These changes enhance daily usability and cabin appeal.
Safety Remains a Strong Focus
Safety continues to be a major strength for the Tata Punch. The facelift retains its 5-star adult and child safety rating.
Furthermore, Tata now offers six airbags as standard across all variants. Other safety features include ESP, Hill Descent Control, ISOFIX child seat mounts and traction control. As a result, the Punch remains one of the safest vehicles in its segment.
New iTurbo Engine Boosts Performance
Under the hood, Tata has introduced a new 1.2-litre iTurbo petrol engine. This engine produces 120 PS at 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm between 1,750 and 4,000 rpm. It comes paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
According to Tata, this setup delivers a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio of 105 PS per tonne. It also offers 30 percent gradability and accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 11.1 seconds.
Additionally, the Punch continues with the familiar 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine. This unit produces 87.8 PS and 115 Nm. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox.
Tata also offers a factory-fitted CNG option. The CNG variant delivers 73.4 PS and 103 Nm, focusing on efficiency and lower running costs.
Variants and Tata Punch Facelift Price in India
The Tata Punch facelift is available in six variants: Smart, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Accomplished and Accomplished+ S.
Prices start at Rs 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom). Higher variants add features such as the larger touchscreen, surround camera and advanced safety tech.
Why the Tata Punch Facelift Matters
