Indian smartphone brand Lava International has officially launched the Lava Shark 2 5G in India, targeting users who want an affordable 5G smartphone with long battery life and a clean Android experience. The latest Shark series device brings upgrades in display, performance, and battery compared to the earlier 4G model.
Lava Shark 2 5G Display and Design
The Lava Shark 2 5G comes with a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The higher refresh rate is expected to deliver smoother scrolling, improved animations, and a better gaming and browsing experience for users in the budget segment.
Lava has also added an IP64 rating to the smartphone, offering protection against dust and water splashes during everyday use. The device will be available in Arya Blue and Sonar Gold colour options.
Stock Android 16 Experience
One of the biggest highlights of the Lava Shark 2 5G is its clean software experience. The smartphone runs on stock Android 16 without any pre-installed ads or unnecessary bloatware.
The company has also promised one Android OS upgrade and two years of security updates, making the device more appealing for users looking for a clutter-free smartphone experience.
Performance and Processor Details
Powering the Lava Shark 2 5G is the Unisoc T8200 chipset based on a 6nm process. The smartphone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It also supports virtual RAM expansion for smoother multitasking performance.
According to Lava, the phone has achieved an AnTuTu score of over 5,00,000, indicating a significant performance improvement over many entry-level 5G smartphones available in the market.

For photography, the Lava Shark 2 5G features a 13-megapixel AI rear camera setup. On the front, the device gets a 5-megapixel selfie camera for video calls and selfies.

Massive 6,000mAh Battery
Battery life is another major highlight of the Lava Shark 2 5G. The smartphone packs a large 6,000mAh battery that is claimed to offer over 13 hours of YouTube playback and more than 12 hours of screen-on time on a single charge.
The device supports 18W wired charging through a USB Type-C port.

The Lava Shark 2 5G has been priced at Rs. 11,999 for the single 4GB + 64GB storage variant in India.
The smartphone will go on sale starting June 10 through offline retail stores across the country. Lava is also continuing its free home service support for buyers of the new device.
