The Uttarakhand government, led by Chief Minister Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami, has announced DA Hike or 3% rise in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state pensioners. The action, based on the Seventh Pay Commission’s recommendations, gives significant financial assistance to retired government employees throughout the state.
The Finance Department issued official orders sanctioning the enhancement, which will take effect on July 1, 2025, and is another move by the state government toward protecting the welfare of its older residents and retired personnel.
The revised dearness allowance will benefit thousands of pensioners.
According to the directive issued by the Finance Secretary, retirees will now get Dearness Allowance at a rate of 58%, up from 55% previously. This rise will immediately benefit all government pensioners whose benefits have been changed in accordance with the Seventh Pay Commission’s recommendations.
