Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami distributes appointment letters to 1,035 assistant teachers, emphasizing quality education and youth development.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami handed out appointment letters to 1,035 newly recruited assistant teachers in primary education, including 17 special educators, at Government Doon Medical College, Patel Nagar, Dehradun.
Extending his congratulations to the selected candidates, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that the new teachers would play a key role in improving the quality of education in the state. He highlighted that the responsibility of shaping Uttarakhand’s future rests on their shoulders.
He stated that when children receive quality education along with moral guidance, it not only transforms their lives but also contributes to societal and national development. Teachers, he added, are the architects of a brighter future for the country.
CM Dhami also stressed that beyond imparting knowledge, teachers should instill a sense of responsibility towards society, culture, and the nation in students, helping them grow into disciplined and accountable citizens.

He noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, the state government is continuously working to modernize and enhance the education system. Measures include strengthening school infrastructure, promoting digital learning, and implementing comprehensive teacher training and skill development programs.
The Chief Minister highlighted that over the past four and a half years, more than 28,000 government jobs have been provided in the state, which he described as a triumph for youth self-respect. He emphasized that this figure is more than double the jobs created in the period after state formation and under previous governments, and assured that the government will safeguard the future of the youth.
Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat added that in the last four and a half years, over 11,500 appointments have been made in the Education Department, with recruitment ongoing for more than 3,500 posts. He also highlighted that special focus is being placed on promoting innovation in education throughout the state.
