CM PushkarDhami says Uttarakhand is taking strict measures against ‘love jihad’ and ‘spit jihad’, while highlighting UCC implementation and defence progress.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the government has implemented firm and decisive measures to address social issues such as ‘love jihad’ and ‘spit jihad.’

Addressing the assembly at the 18th Amar Shaheed Sainik Mela in Chamoli district, the Chief Minister stated, “Our government has implemented rigorous and decisive measures to combat social deviations such as ‘love jihad’ and ‘spit jihad.'”

He stated that safeguarding the cultural heritage of Devbhoomi is our primary concern, and to ensure its security, we are implementing tangible measures at every level. The Chief Minister additionally emphasized that the BJP government has diligently endeavored to fulfill its electoral pledge of enacting a Uniform Civil Code (UCC). Our government has honored its electoral commitments through the enactment of the UCC. By translating this historic decision into tangible implementation, Uttarakhand has established itself as the first state in the nation. We have honored the pledge made to the people, as our government does not merely make declarations; we are committed to demonstrating every promise through concrete actions.

Paying homage to the soldiers, Chief Minister Dhami stated, “By being present here, we honor the courageous soldiers.”

This is a historically significant fair in this limited region. Through ‘Operation Sindoor’ recently, India has demonstrated that both our soldiers and our indigenous weaponry are in no way inferior to any modern armament worldwide, he stated. He also acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support of the armed forces.

Seeing the positive transformations occurring within the army under the guidance of the esteemed Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji fills me with profound pride and happiness. There was a time when India relied entirely on foreign nations for defence equipment, but today our country has emerged as one of the foremost exporters of such equipment, he stated in a post on X.

He stated, “I am the son of a soldier, and my visit to this land of the brave has rekindled memories of numerous heroic stories recounted by my father.” The courageous men of Savad village have consistently devoted themselves entirely to the defense of the nation. Emphasizing his government’s dedication to enhancing the state’s road infrastructure, CM Dhami stated, “Following the Nanda Raj Jat Yatra, the Gwaldam-Dewal-Wan road will be transferred from the Public Works Department to the Border Roads Organisation, considering the sentiments and requirements of the residents of the Tharali region.”
