CM Dhami directs registration of 5-6 lakh MGNREGA workers under Welfare Board, urges officials to boost worker welfare and ensure transparency in government programs.

According to the CMO statement , Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami instructed officials to place all MGNREGA employees in the state under the purview of the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

Within the next three months, at least 5 to 6 lakh workers must be registered with the board, according to the Uttarakhand CMO. He emphasized that labor assistance programs can only be genuinely successful if the greatest number of workers directly benefit from them.

Chief Minister Dhami also emphasized that it is the duty of the Board and the labor department to contact all employees and give them thorough information on the government’s welfare programs and resources. He added that all officials need to make sure that this information is shared at the panchayat level and that worker registration is carried out like a campaign.

The chief minister of Uttarakhand also reaffirmed the state government’s dedication to workers’ social and economic advancement. According to him, workers’ diligence and hard labor are the real cornerstone of the state’s progress, and it is the responsibility of the government to give them all the facilities, respect, and protection they can.

“The labor of our fellow workers is the foundation upon which the state has grown. Their welfare will not be compromised. It is the duty of the government, not simply our objective, to place all MGNREGA employees under the Welfare Board, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated.

At the same time, the CM Camp Office was hosting a meeting of the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (UKBCWB). During the meeting, the Chief Minister gave over 10,000 registered construction workers and their dependents ₹11 crore 50 lakh for their welfare through the online portal and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

He went on to say that the government is making sure that every worker’s family is treated with respect and that their kids have a better future. He said that in order to guarantee quicker assistance delivery to qualified recipients, all of the board’s programs are now being integrated with digital platforms.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to frequently notify employees and their families about all Board programs, according to the Uttarakhand CMO. He emphasized the need for all officers and staff to visit field workers, update them on new programs, and help them with the application and benefit process.

Additionally, he advised employees to stay knowledgeable about assistance programs and their rights. He affirmed that labor and effort are always deserving of respect as they create a better future and promised that the government is with workers in every happiness and adversity.

“Unity is our identity, and hard work is our strength.” The state government supports our hardworking employees no matter what. “Our top priority is their welfare,” Dhami declared.

He urged every official and staff member connected to the Board to do everything in their power to encourage employees and to strive tirelessly to improve their lives.

According to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state’s ministries are doing a great job of generating income and promoting public welfare, with the Mining Department receiving particular recognition for its exceptional accomplishments. The unexpected rise in the state’s mining revenue, he said, is unmistakable evidence that the new mining policy has been applied successfully, openly, and firmly.

He said that there is no longer any chance of leakage or irregularities in the mining industry because of accountability, transparency, and stringent monitoring. Other states now use this structure and policy as a model.

The chief minister declared that representatives from states like Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh are coming to Uttarakhand to study the mining industry’s operational model. In their respective areas, they hope to implement comparable laws and procedures. In order to carry out their duties more successfully, he continued, other departments—especially the Labour Department—must take inspiration from the Mining Department’s work ethic, openness, and discipline.

According to the Uttarakhand CMO, Dhami has directed officials to set up similarly effective, transparent, and goal-oriented procedures inside their departments to guarantee that the public obtains the full benefits of programs on schedule and that state revenue can grow steadily.
