Uttarakhand gets ₹8,140 crore in new projects as PM Modi marks state’s silver jubilee; CM Dhami hails rapid development.

Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand, thanked PM Modi  for announcing projects totaling Rs 8,140 crore in honor of the state’s silver anniversary.

On Sunday, PM Modi officially opened and set the groundwork for a number of development projects totaling more than Rs 8140 crores in a number of important areas, including as electricity, drinking water, irrigation, technical education, urban development, sports, and skill development.

CM Dhami stated in an X post that the State is “progressing rapidly” under the Prime Minister’s direction.

More than Rs 8,140 crore worth of development projects have been given to Uttarakhand on the momentous occasion of the Silver Jubilee of State Formation. The state is making quick progress toward development under the leadership of Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji. The infrastructure, tourism, health, education, and connectivity of Uttarakhand will all take a new turn thanks to these projects,” Dhami stated.
PM Modi laid the groundwork for projects totaling more than Rs 7,210 crore and officially opened projects totaling more than Rs 930 crore.

Under the PM Fasal Bima Yojana, the Prime Minister also disbursed Rs 62 crores in assistance funds to over 28,000 farmers straight into their bank accounts.

The Prime Minister unveiled a number of projects, including an AstroTurf Hockey Ground at Haldwani Stadium in Nainital, an electrical substation in Pithoragarh district, solar power plants in government buildings, and Dehradun water supply coverage for 23 zones under the AMRUT system.

Two significant hydro-sector-related projects were inaugurated by PM Modi: the Song Dam Drinking Water Project, which will supply 150 MLD (million liters per day) of drinking water to Dehradun, and the Jamarani Dam Multipurpose Project in Nainital, which will support irrigation, generate electricity, and supply drinking water. Electrical substations, the founding of a women’s sports college in Champawat, and a cutting-edge dairy plant in Nainital are among the other projects whose foundation stone will be laid.

On November 9, Uttarakhand commemorated 25 years since its founding.
