Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami prioritizes farmers’ welfare, releasing pending aid for Mission Apple and UHDA schemes; approves Rs 51 crore for development projects.

Farmers’ welfare is a top priority for the administration, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said . We will swiftly release the outstanding state aid for the Mission Apple and Ultra-High Density Apple Plantation Scheme grantees. The procedure for this will start on Monday.

As per a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed that the outstanding state aid for farmers who were beneficiaries of Mission Apple (which ran from 2016–17 to 2022–23) and the Ultra-High Density Apple Plantation Scheme (which ran from 2023–24) be disbursed on a priority basis.

The Principal Secretary (Law), Secretary (Finance), and Secretary (Agriculture & Farmer Welfare) met with Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan on Sunday as directed by the Chief Minister. He gave the order that on Monday, October 27, the process of giving recipient farmers cash aid, together with any necessary physical verification, will start. Additionally, the Chief Secretary directed all relevant ministries to finish the paperwork required for the quickest possible disbursement of the outstanding financial aid.

He also disclosed that 35 crore had been set aside in the budget for the 2025–2026 apple plantation initiative. The state government will provide for any additional funding that may be needed to give farmers state aid.

All Chief and District Horticulture Officers were rigorously instructed by the Chief Secretary to start physical verification and other formal procedures pertaining to the payment of outstanding financial assistance to farmers under Mission Apple and the Ultra-High Density Apple Plantation Scheme on October 27, 2025.

For the rehabilitation and enhancement of the Laloori-Ghiakoti-Kyarda Motor Road in the Tehri Garhwal district’s Dhanaulti Assembly seat, CM Dhami has authorized a budget of Rs 4.16 crore.

For the construction of the Rankauchi Temple in Champawat, the Chief Minister also approved Rs 4.57 crore through the Uttarakhand Project Development and Construction Corporation Ltd., according to a document.

Additionally, Rs 5 crore has been approved by the Chief Minister to build a new drinking water project (which includes a new pipeline and overhead tank) at Police Lines, Race Course, Dehradun; Rs 51 crore to build 120 Type-II quarters (Block-C) at the same location; and Rs 19 crore to build a multi-story building with 20 Type-3 and 20 Type-4 residential quarters at the Lok Seva Aayog’s Bhagirath residential complex.

Also approved under the State Plan are Rs 13.73 crore for the construction of multifunctional structures (including electrification) at Raj Bhavan, Dehradun, and Rs 54 crore for 120 Type-II residential quarters at IRB Second Battalion, Dehradun.
