Uttar Pradesh : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday urged citizens to ensure a safe and joyful festival as Yogi Adityanath urges peaceful Holi celebration across the state. Speaking at the ‘Bhakt Prahlad Shobha Yatra’ organised by the Shri Holika Dahan Utsav Samiti in Gorakhpur, the Chief Minister emphasized that festivals bring happiness only when celebrated with harmony and respect.

India’s Progress Under PM Modi

Chief Minister Adityanath highlighted that while many countries face unrest and conflict, India remains stable and continues to progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said, “New India provides opportunities and celebrations for all sections of society,” and added that Indians can take pride in the nation’s development and global recognition.

Guidelines for Holi

As Yogi Adityanath urges peaceful Holi celebration, the Chief Minister provided clear guidelines for the public:

  • Celebrate responsibly – Holika Dahan should not inconvenience anyone or cause damage to property.
  • Use appropriate songs – Holi songs must reflect the true spirit of the festival; obscene or objectionable songs reduce its cultural significance.
  • Safe and voluntary colors only – Only gulal and safe powders should be used, and no one should be forced to take part.

Adityanath contrasted the present scenario with pre-2014 conditions when curfews and tension were common during festivals. Today, thanks to a secure and trusting environment, Holi celebrations are marked by peace and community harmony.
