Haryana Cow Shelter Grant Distribution: ₹68.34 Crore for 602 Gaushalas

Sonipat, Haryana: In a major step toward strengthening cow welfare and conservation, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini participated in the 126th annual celebration of Dharamarth Gaushala in Bhatgaon, Sonipat, where a large-scale Haryana cow shelter grant distribution ceremony was organized.

The Chief Minister welcomed cow devotees and volunteers from across the state and extended greetings on the occasion of Holi. The event highlighted the government’s continued commitment to cow protection and rural support initiatives.

₹68.34 Crore Released Under Haryana Cow Shelter Grant Distribution

Under the latest phase of the Haryana cow shelter grant distribution, the state government released ₹68.34 crore to 602 registered gaushalas across Haryana. The financial assistance is aimed at providing fodder support and ensuring proper care, shelter, and medical attention for cows housed in these institutions.

Officials stated that this Haryana cow shelter grant distribution will significantly help gaushalas manage rising operational costs while maintaining better facilities for cattle welfare.

Special Allocation for Sonipat District

As part of the broader Haryana cow shelter grant distribution, 27 registered gaushalas in Sonipat district received ₹5.60 crore in fodder grants. This targeted allocation reflects the government’s district-level commitment to strengthening cow conservation infrastructure.

The Chief Minister also informed that, so far, the Haryana government has released more than ₹525 crore toward cow conservation and promotion schemes, reinforcing its long-term policy focus.

Additional Financial Support for Local Bodies

Apart from the statewide Haryana cow shelter grant distribution, additional financial assistance was provided to local institutions. The Dharamarth Gaushala and both panchayats of Bhatgaon received ₹21 lakh each for development purposes, further boosting rural infrastructure.

The event was graced by the blessings of Swami Shri Gyananand Ji Maharaj, whose presence added spiritual significance to the ceremony.

Government Reaffirms Commitment to Cow Protection

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini reaffirmed the government’s dedication to cow welfare and conservation. The continued Haryana cow shelter grant distribution reflects the administration’s vision to provide sustainable financial backing to gaushalas while preserving traditional and cultural values associated with cow protection.

The initiative is expected to strengthen rural institutions, support farmers and cow caretakers, and ensure better living conditions for cattle across the state.
