UP CM Yogi Adityanath boosts youth empowerment via skill training, job creation, startups, and future-ready industry-focused programs.

Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Adityanath’s ideas and leadership are propelling Uttar Pradesh through one of its most important periods of youth empowerment. With the help of advanced training facilities, job creation, skill development, and entrepreneurial assistance, the state has established itself as a new national center for innovative and competent individuals.

Job placements and skill training records since 2017

Through significant programs like the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana and the Skill India Mission, over 5.66 lakh youth with ITI and polytechnic training have found work since 2017. By April 2025, more than 2,800 training facilities had been set up to provide industry-focused skills, greatly lowering unemployment rates in both rural and urban areas.

Many thousands of young entrepreneurs are launching new businesses and contributing to the state’s expanding start-up ecosystem by obtaining financial aid and incubation support under the CM Yuva Udyami Yojana.

Top-notch instruction in line with industry demands

There are currently 1,747 active training partners in Uttar Pradesh that provide courses in subjects that align with the demands of the industry in order to guarantee contemporary and high-quality training. Youth in the state are receiving assistance from incubation centers to gain skills in fields such as electric vehicle manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and digital marketing.

Frequent state-wide skill competitions give young talent the chance to succeed and represent Uttar Pradesh on a national and worldwide scale.

Technical infrastructure and higher education are expanding significantly.

Infrastructure for higher education in the state has expanded dramatically. From 42 in 2016–17 to 80 currently, the number of medical schools has nearly doubled, greatly expanding MBBS seats and bolstering healthcare services. With the addition of advanced technical programs, engineering colleges have also increased their offerings.

Moreover, university and college start-up incubators are encouraging youth-led business, and inclusive rules guarantee equal chances for women, SC/ST, OBC, and minority groups.

Placement drives and massive job fairs increase employment

Frequent job fairs and placement drives have significantly increased the pace of employment creation. During the August 2025 three-day Rozgar Mahakumbh in Lucknow, 100 well-known companies, including SBI, HDFC, Swiggy, Zomato, Amazon, and Mahindra, offered over 50,000 employment.

It is anticipated that upcoming employment fairs in Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Varanasi, and Muzaffarnagar will generate more than 15,000 new possibilities. Another way to close the gap between employers and job seekers is through monthly district-level placement campaigns.
