CM Yogi Adityanath Pays Tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Birth Anniversary in Lucknow

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honors Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, and Raja Bijli Pasi in Lucknow

CM Yogi Adityanath pays tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary, honors Malaviya Ji and Raja Bijli Pasi, and extends Christmas greetings.

Lucknow:  On the anniversary of his birth, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented flowers to the statue of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Lok Bhawan.

In addition, the Chief Minister wished the community a happy Christmas and honored Raja Bijli Pasi and Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya on their birthdays.

“Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary is an auspicious occasion for the nation,” CM Yogi stated. As prime minister, Atal Ji represented the state capital of Lucknow and set India firmly on the path to prosperity by offering the nation a fresh outlook on development.

He pointed out that this year is particularly significant because Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth centennial is being widely recognized. He went on to say, “Educational and training institutions throughout the nation held a variety of events to commemorate the occasion, such as readings of Atal Ji’s poetry, conversations about his works, and considerations of his powerful speeches given in Parliament, the media, and international forums.”

The Chief Minister emphasized that Atal Ji’s birthplace is Bateshwar, Agra, while he completed his further education in Kanpur and into the public eye in Balrampur. For the longest time, he served as Uttar Pradesh’s representative in Parliament. Generations all around the nation are still motivated by his imposing demeanor, accomplishments, and statesmanship.

“The double-engine government has built the Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow to preserve Atal Ji’s legacy and ensure the continuity of his ideology,” CM Yogi stated. In addition to a digital museum, the location has statues of three notable national leaders.

While Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s Antyodaya philosophy and Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s ideals collectively offer guidance for bolstering the vision of “Ek Bharat–Shreshtha Bharat” with harmony and inclusivity, the statue of Syama Prasad Mukherjee communicates the message of national unity and integrity. The prime minister will inaugurate this.

“Today also marks the birth anniversary of the great nationalist leader, freedom fighter, and founder of Banaras Hindu University,” said Chief Minister Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. By founding BHU in 1916, Malaviya Ji provided the country a long-lasting vision and made priceless contributions to the independence movement. For his outstanding contribution to the nation, he received the Bharat Ratna.

The Chief Minister also praised Raja Bijli Pasi, calling him a brave warrior from Lucknow who fought against foreign domination in order to preserve India’s age-old customs. “The double-engine government is actively working to honor the legacy of all such brave warriors associated with this tradition and to restore Bijli Pasi’s forts,” he stated.

“The state government is committed to ensuring that people celebrate the festival peacefully and in an atmosphere of harmony,” CM Yogi remarked, extending Christmas greetings to the Christian community.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, MLC Govind Narayan Shukla, and other dignitaries attended the event.
