UP holds welfare camps for construction workers, enabling on-the-spot registration for health, education, and social security schemes under CM Yogi Adityanath.

“The Uttar Pradesh government continues to strengthen the social security system for construction workers and ensure that welfare benefits reach them directly. On Wednesday, the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board organized awareness and registration camps at labor centers in Mohanlalganj, Buddheshwar, and Barabirwa (Aashiana) in Lucknow.”

The goal of these camps was to raise awareness about the welfare programs accessible to registered construction workers while also facilitating on-the-spot registration and renewal.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government has prioritized improving workers’ living conditions, assuring their children’s education, providing health care, and fostering social dignity.

As part of this commitment, such camps are arranged on a regular basis. The program had a positive reaction, with many workers expressing an interest in the schemes and completing their registration during the camps.

At the camps, construction workers were given detailed information about the Board’s key welfare schemes, such as the Kanya Vivah Sahayta Yojana, Matritva, Shishu Evam Baalika Madad Yojana, Sant Ravidas Education Promotion Scheme, Nirmaan Kamgar Mrtyu Va Divyangta Sahayta Yojana, and the Atal Residential School Scheme. Eligible workers were registered on the spot, ensuring rapid access to benefits.

Special attention was placed on increasing applications for admission to Classes 6 and 9 under the Atal Residential School Scheme for the academic year 2026-27. Workers with at least three years of service with the Board were encouraged to apply for their children, with the plan positioned as a road to a secure and bright future.

The Vigyan Foundation and other implementing agencies, as well as Labour Enforcement Officers Shakti Rai, Santosh Kumar, and Sunil Kumar, provided active support for the camps.

Officials emphasized the need of timely registration and renewal to receive advantages under various schemes. Kalpana Srivastava, Additional Labour Commissioner for the Lucknow region, remarked that receiving benefits requires registration with the Board and timely renewal in accordance with the stipulated rules. Workers can register or renew their registration at CSC e-District Centers, CSC e-Governance Centers, or on the Board’s official website, upbocw.in.
