Lucknow: In a dramatic administrative makeover, the Uttar Pradesh administration, led by CM Yogi Adityanath, transferred 46 IAS officers. Divisional commissioners, district magistrates (DMs), chief development officials, and municipal commissioners are among those affected by the extensive reshuffle.
Ten district magistrates were transferred throughout the state.
Among the major changes, the government has transferred DMs in ten districts, including Rampur, Hathras, Sitapur, and Bast.
- Atul Vats, the Vice-Chairman of the Ghaziabad Development Authority, has been named District Magistrate (DM) of Hathras.
- Rajaganapathi R. will now be the DM of Sitapur, with Krittika Jyotsna taking over as DM of Basti.
- Pulkit Garg has been named DM of Chitrakoot, while Ravish Gupta will be the Managing Director of the Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam.
Rampur gets a new DM; crucial departmental shifts announced.
Joginder Singh, an IAS officer who formerly served as Rampur’s DM, has been named Special Secretary to the Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department.
Ajay Kumar Dwivedi, the former DM of Shravasti, will now take over his job in Rampur.
In other changes, Esha Duhan has been made Managing Director of the Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation Limited, while Kumar Vineet has been appointed Special Secretary in the Youth Welfare and Sports Department.

Significant appointments in crucial administrative positions.
Several more top officers have been given important responsibilities:
- Bal Krishna Tripathi is appointed Secretary, Department of General Administration.
- Rajesh Prakash has been appointed Divisional Commissioner of Vindhyachal.
- Dhanalakshmi K. will now be the Director-General of the Fisheries Department.
- Rupesh Kumar is the new Divisional Commissioner of Saharanpur, while Bhanu Chandra Goswami will head the Meerut Division.
- Mayur Maheshwari has been named Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited.
- Rahul Pandey, who was previously the DM of Hathras, has been appointed Special Secretary to the State Tax Department.
- Abhishek Anand has been named Special Secretary to the Excise Department.
The government intends to increase administrative efficiency.
According to senior authorities, the large-scale restructuring is intended to strengthen governance and improve efficiency across departments and districts. With the new appointments, the Yogi Adityanath administration hopes to ensure smoother operations and better public service delivery ahead of the state’s developmental and law-and-order agendas.
