UP CM Yogi Adityanath assures justice, security, and support to Rae Bareli lynching victim Hariom Balmiki’s family, vows strict action under zero-tolerance policy.

The family of Dalit man Hariom Balmiki, who was lynched by a mob in Rae Bareli over a fraudulent theft rumor, has been assured of justice, security, and empowerment by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The deceased’s wife, Sangeeta Balmiki, expressed her satisfaction with the government and police’s actions and her confidence that justice will be served after meeting with the Chief Minister in Lucknow last evening. She stated, “Only Yogi Adityanath can protect the Dalits.”

Sangeeta Balmiki, her father Chhote Lal, and her daughter Ananya traveled to Lucknow to meet with CM Yogi. Under the government’s zero-tolerance policy, the Chief Minister assured the family that the perpetrators would be held accountable for their actions, comforted them, and listened to their sorrow. According to the Chief Minister, the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana will provide the family with a residence. Furthermore, the family will be eligible for all government welfare programs, and Sangeeta Balmiki will be provided with a permanent position at her place of employment.

The Chief Minister also stated that the state government will vigorously advocate for the case in court in the Hariom Balmiki case to guarantee that the accused receives the most severe penalty. The accused were apprehended within 24 hours of the incident, according to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He emphasized that the state government’s primary concern is the preservation of the dignity of Dalits, the deprived, and the oppressed. He guaranteed that the zero-tolerance policy would be strictly enforced against such perpetrators, and that every tear shed by the victim’s family would be considered.
