NHAI chief inspects RS. 400 cr interchange linking Yamuna Expressway & EPE to Noida Airport, boosting connectivity for UP & Haryana districts.
Santosh Kumar Yadav, the chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), visited the continuing construction of a significant junction that would link the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) and the Yamuna Expressway on Monday. Several districts in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana will be immediately connected to the Noida airport via this interchange.
Santosh Kumar Yadav, the chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), visited the ongoing construction of an 8 km link road that will connect Noida International Airport to the national highway network and a major interchange that will connect the Yamuna Expressway and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) on Monday.
At the 10 kilometer stretch of the Yamuna Expressway, close to Jagunpur Afzalpur hamlet, Chairman Yadav examined the status of the cloverleaf and loop arrangements at the interchange, which is being constructed at a cost of Rs 400 crore. He asked about the purchase of property, the moving of current infrastructure, and other issues affecting project schedules.
Yadav emphasized the significance of the project and gave officials instructions to make sure the connecting roads and interchange are finished on time. Residents of a number of areas in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh will have direct access to the airport once the new infrastructure is operational, connecting the Yamuna Expressway, EPE, Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, DND-Faridabad-Ballabgarh Expressway, and KMP Expressway.
The 750-meter-long secondary access road and the 8-kilometer, 30-meter-wide connection road were also inspected by the NHAI Chairman. To guarantee timely completion prior to the airport’s opening, he encouraged the contracting agency and officials to work closely with the state government, the Airports Authority of India, and the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).
ACEO Nagendra Pratap and OSD Shailendra were among the YEIDA officials that attended the inspection.
