UP govt Yogi Adityanath , with Madad Foundation, distributes tablets to girls’ schools, boosting digital literacy, skill development, and women empowerment.
Lucknow: The Social Welfare Department has started a new project in partnership with the Madad Foundation, which is a major step toward inclusive development, digital literacy, and technical empowerment of girl students. On Tuesday, the Social Welfare Department and the Madad Foundation formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at a coordination meeting and tablet distribution event held at Bhagidari Bhawan in Gomti Nagar.
The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is still very much focused on the digitalization of education. The principals of the Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Girls’ Schools in the districts of Gorakhpur and Maharajganj received 40 tablets in total as part of this project. Twenty tablets were given to each school. The program was started as a pilot project and will eventually be extended to include more schools based on the results.
Asim Arun, the Minister of State for Social Welfare, and Rajesh Mani, the founder of the Madad Foundation, attended the function. Speaking to the crowd, Minister Asim Arun said that in the quickly changing world of today, digital education has become essential. In addition to improving the quality of education for female students, having access to contemporary technology tools would help them become more self-assured and independent. He pointed out that the program closely reflects the goals of “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” and “Digital India,” as well as the Yogi Adityanath government’s vision for women’s empowerment.

The show also emphasized the state government’s larger initiatives to incorporate technology into education through digital gadgets, e-content, smart classrooms, and training programs focused on skills and careers. Rajesh Mani, the founder of the Madad Foundation, said the collaboration with the Social Welfare Department was a significant step in advancing social progress and bolstering the educational system. Director of the Social Welfare Department Sanjeev Singh, Deputy Director Anand Kumar Singh, J. Ram, other department officials, and members of the Madad Foundation team were present at the occasion.
