UP govt launches initiative to make cow shelters self-reliant through ‘cow tourism’ and sale of cow-based products, boosting rural jobs and eco-friendly businesses.

LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh government has started a big project to make cow shelters self-sufficient, with the help of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to Promote ‘Cow Tourism’ to Strengthen Rural Economy ,The government wants to build an ideal cow shelter in every district to help all cow shelters in the state become more financially stable. These shelters will also be turned into tourism attractions.

As part of this initiative, the idea of “cow tourism” will be looked into as a way to create jobs and extra cash for people while also encouraging shelters that can support themselves. The government would promote the business use of cow products such dung, urine, milk, and ghee in order to reach this goal. Women’s self-help groups will be very crucial for making and selling things made from cow dung in their own communities. Release claimed that during Diwali, there would be specific campaigns to raise awareness of cow dung lamps, idols, and other eco-friendly products. This will help improve their demand.

Dharampal Singh, the Minister of Livestock and Dairy Development, said that there will be a big campaign to market cow dung lamps, idols, and other colorful products during Diwali. He promised that these items will be readily available in stores so that people could take part in this environmentally friendly project and support the “Vocal for Local” movement.

Mukesh Meshram, the Principal Secretary of Livestock and Dairy Development, said that officials have been told to make strategies at the local level for how to use cow dung and urine in cow shelters for business purposes. He stressed that this program will not only make shelters independent, but it will also boost the economy in rural areas.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath came up with this idea, and it is meant to change the way cows are protected in Uttar Pradesh while also supporting local businesses and long-term jobs through cow-based products.
