CM Yogi Adityanath reviews preparations for the 19th National Bharat Scouts & Guides Jamboree in Lucknow, emphasizing sustainability and youth empowerment.

Lucknow—A high-level review meeting convened by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday was held to evaluate the preparations for the Bharat Scouts and Guides’ upcoming 19th National Jamboree, according to an official release.

The event will take place in Lucknow’s Defence Expo Ground from November 23 to 29.

He said he was proud that Uttar Pradesh would host this national event after 61 years, describing it as a spectacular celebration of national duty, young discipline, and the ethos of an independent India.

In accordance with the Maha Kumbh, Adityanath instructed officials to make sure that the Jamboree demonstrates the effectiveness, organization, and hospitality of the state by implementing well-coordinated plans for security, transportation, sanitation, health, lodging, food, and cultural events.

“Self-Reliant, Swadeshi Bharat, Clean and Developed Bharat, Green and Sustainable Bharat” is this year’s theme, and he emphasized that it should be clearly included into every facet of the event.

With 28,000–29,000 scouts and guides from all over India, 1,000–2,000 overseas participants, and about 5,000 volunteers and staff, the event will serve as the spectacular conclusion of the Bharat Scouts and Guides Diamond Jubilee festivities, according to officials.

With a 7-kilometer radius, the 300-acre site will have 3,500 tents, 1,700 restrooms, 2,200 restrooms, 100 kitchens, and four central kitchens. The stadium’s main arena, which is one million square feet in size, will include twelve entry gates, eleven LED screens, and a VVIP gallery with five German hangars for 30,000 spectators.

According to the chief minister, Uttar Pradesh would get a chance to highlight its inventions, customs, and culture at the event.

State-by-state showcases and thematic displays on the Indian Army, robotics, electronics, one district-one product, 75 years of Scouting, Air Agniveer, and the global village are among the exhibits he ordered shown.

“The Jamboree will help develop technical, social, and leadership skills among participants,” he stated, emphasizing the event’s focus on young empowerment.

Marking a new milestone in the journey towards “Digital India and Smart Scouting,” the announcement also said that an IT and Artificial Intelligence Hub is being established to assist the event and offer sessions on digital learning, innovation, and leadership.

Comprehensive infrastructure, including a 100-bed hospital, 16 dispensaries, a police station, several police stations, a control room, a fire station with 11 tenders, administrative offices, an overseas cafeteria, and a media center, is being built at the location, the meeting was informed.

Adityanath ordered that all security and emergency response systems be kept in perfect working order and that the entire site be monitored by CCTV cameras around-the-clock, including PTZ, night vision, and face detection.

In keeping with his pledge to protect the environment, he ordered the Jamboree to be a completely sustainable and green event. According to officials, trash segregation, composting, plastic recycling, and a “Green Warriors” campaign will be used to accomplish this.

Thematic selfie spots, a green pledge wall, and e-cart transportation are extra arrangements.

Additionally, the chief minister gave staff instructions to prepare appropriately for the arrival of both domestic and foreign dignitaries.

A spectacular two-day drone show including hundreds of drones illustrating the inspirational journey of scouting and youth empowerment will be shown for the first time at the Jamboree.

RFID-based smart ID cards will be used to manage entry and attendance, and a WhatsApp-based communication network will provide participants with real-time updates, according to the announcement.

Skill-building and adventure activities such as rappelling, wall climbing, sky cycling, zip line, archery, shooting, zorbing, commando bridges, and plank bridges will also be available at the event, according to the statement.
