Major Pension Hike in Rajasthan: Rs 1,450 per month now under Social Security Pension Scheme

Jaipur : The Rajasthan government has strengthened its commitment to social welfare by increasing the Rajasthan Social Security Pension amount to Rs 1,450 per month. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the pension scheme has been gradually enhanced over the past two years, providing economic security and dignity to thousands of vulnerable citizens across the state.

Rajasthan Social Security Pension Amount Increased Significantly

Since 2024, the Rajasthan Social Security Pension has witnessed a steady rise. The monthly amount increased from Rs 1,000 in 2024 to Rs 1,150, then to Rs 1,250 in 2025, followed by Rs 1,300 in January 2026. With the latest increase, pensioners now receive Rs 1,450 per month, marking a total increment of Rs 450 over two years.

Over 91 Lakh Beneficiaries Receive Regular Support

Currently, more than 91 lakh beneficiaries, including senior citizens, widows, single women, persons with disabilities, and small and marginal farmers, are receiving regular pensions under the Rajasthan Social Security Pension scheme. These initiatives aim to provide economically weaker sections with minimum financial support to ensure a dignified and self-reliant life.

Direct Benefit Transfer Ensures Timely Payments

To ensure transparency and timely distribution, the state government has adopted the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system for the Rajasthan Social Security Pension. Under this system, the pension amount is directly credited to beneficiaries’ Aadhaar-linked bank accounts, guaranteeing fast and secure payment.

Technology-Driven and Citizen-Friendly Pension System

The Rajasthan government has digitized the Rajasthan Social Security Pension process, making it paperless and accessible online. Beneficiaries can now apply, verify, and track payments through mobile apps, e-Mitra centers, or other online platforms. Annual verification has also been simplified using biometric, OTP-based, and Aadhaar-verified methods to ensure a hassle-free experience.

Efforts to Resolve Banking Issues

The government has addressed technical issues caused by bank mergers and IFSC code changes, ensuring pension payments reach beneficiaries without delays. Coordination with banking institutions and real-time portal updates have further strengthened the efficiency of the Rajasthan Social Security Pension scheme.

Economic Stability and Social Security for Vulnerable Groups

The Rajasthan Social Security Pension scheme not only provides financial assistance but also strengthens the dignity, security, and social stability of marginalized citizens. By continuously increasing pension amounts and ensuring transparent distribution, the state government is fulfilling its commitment to empowering the most vulnerable sections of society.
